I first used these fantastic sidetowels at the Culinary Institute of America when I entered my first kitchen. They’re for grabbing hot things, and they are so, so, so much better than the ubiquitious pot holder, which is ugly to look at and clunky to use. Ditto the kitchen mitt. These towels are heavy duty cotton, are large enough to use one towel to hold a wide pot with, and if you’re doing a lot of cooking, slip nicely through your belt so that it’s always with you. I love these so much that every time I returned to the Culinary, I picked up a new batch. I’m thrilled I don’t have to wait anymore! I can get them here! If you’re a serious cook, I recommend you use these heavy duty babies. I'd be a cranky cook if I didn't have a stack of these around.
